MEWA Business Park
The Ministry of Environment and Water Headquarters in Riyadh is envisioned as a 126,000 sqm national landmark that integrates architecture, landscape, and sustainability. A central landscaped valley forms the heart of the complex, connecting monolithic building masses inspired by Saudi Arabia’s geological formations. Elevated bridges link the various functions while creating framed views and layered spatial experiences. A high-performance double-skin façade with perforated metal panels reduces solar gain, filters daylight, and improves thermal comfort. Green terraces, shaded courtyards, and climate-responsive strategies reinforce the environmental concept, creating a civic workplace that reflects resilience, ecological responsibility, and contemporary national identity.
